Arlindo Cruz continues hospitalized in neurological recovery, in Rio

Singer-songwriter Arlindo Cruz, 58, has been hospitalized for more than two months at the Intensive Care Center (CTI) of the São José Health House in Humaitá, southern Rio de Janeiro. The state of health of the artist is considered stable, and he continues in the process of neurological recovery.

According to the medical team, the picture evolves gradually and it is still not possible to say if the singer will have sequels. Doctors also report that they are evaluating the possibility of transferring the singer to the semi-intensive unit.

Arlindo Cruz has been hospitalized since March 17, after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke at home, when he arranged to embark for Sao Paulo, where he would complete a schedule of shows. The region of the thalamus, which is the deep area of the brain responsible for movement, has been affected. The singer is already breathing without the aid of devices, he can open his eyes and respond to some stimuli.
